Nearly three months after weathering breakup rumors, Shakira and Gerard Piqué are “doing great and are stronger than ever,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.
The 40-year-old singer — who recently rescheduled her El Dorado world tour to kick off in June after suffering a vocal cord hemorrhage — and the FC Barcelona player, 30, celebrated their love during a holiday vacation in New York City with their sons, Milan, 4, and Sasha, 2, and other family members.
“Shakira had a tough year with her vocal issues and postponement of her tour, so she wanted to make sure Christmas was perfect,” the source tells Us. “She flew her parents, hubby, kids and her brother first class from Barcelona to NYC for five days of sightseeing. The group toured museums and ate at great restaurants every night.”

The couple of nearly eight years also attended a New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers game at Madison Square Garden with their sons on Christmas Day. They sat courtside as Sasha adorably relaxed on his dad’s lap.
“Anyone around them could see that the split rumors from last year were pure BS,” the insider tells Us of the pair’s interactions on their family trip. “They literally looked like they were on their honeymoon! They were absolutely inseparable and squeezed in a hug or kiss whenever or wherever they could. It was adorable. The kids are so well-behaved and polite, too.”
