British Rapper Professor Green, real name Stephen Manderson, and ex Made in Chelsea star Millie Macintosh, have confirmed they have separated after 2 years of marriage, but insist they are still on amicable terms.
The pair released the following statement:
“It is with sadness and regret that we confirm our separation.”
“It is a mutual decision, we still care deeply about each other and would like it to be known that it is on amicable terms and we wish each other well.”
Manderson, who has had three hit albums and recently found fame as host of hard hitting BBC3 documentaries tackling serious issues like rising mass-homelessness in the UK and Suicide and Mental health, issues close to his heart after a battle with depression lead to his father taking his own life, has yet to comment on the matter further than the public statement, and fashion designer Mackintosh has remained tight lipped too.
Though neither Manderson or Mackintosh have yet to file for divorce, the two are now living apart, and it is said that their recent Holiday to Italy was a last minute attempt to save their troubled marriage.
Regarding the trip, Professor Green previously said that it was the only time they had spent together in months, after work commitments kept them apart.
Millie Mackintosh shot to fame as one of the most prominent cast members in E4’s reality TV show Made in Chelsea, but quit the show in 2013 after producers kept requesting that her relationship with Stephen, and their upcoming marriage, be featured and focused on in the show. Previous to that, Professor Green had made no appearances on the show, and Millie kept silent about her relationship when the cameras were rolling, but with mounting pressure for the pair to feature their relationship on the show, she quit, remarking at the time “My relationship with Stephen isn’t open to the cameras.”
